Cas and Wren’s Wedding Letters
Please be aware that the following letters should only be read after finishing the Obsidian Academy Duet.
Thank you for reading Tides of Secrets and becoming a part of the A.R. Society! As a thank you, I’ve written a series of letters between Castien and Wren during the week of their wedding.
———
My dearest Wren,
Each time I am reminded of our impending nuptials, my bliss is increased tenfold. I find I cannot stop smiling. It is rather inconvenient during meetings with advisors. They are unlikely to take me seriously when I look—as Finn puts it—lovestruck.
I fear it will only get worse after we wed. For once I am your husband, I am liable to be the sort of happy that is insufferable to everyone else.
Yours,
Castien

My dearest Castien,
Our friends and family might send us away, for I find I am just as ridiculously happy as you. Never have I known the joy that I taste each time I see you. To know that in a few short days we will wake up to one another … my bliss is unmatched.
I love you,
Wren
———
My dearest wife,
The adoration I hold for you is as boundless as the night sky. Every second that passes, my love for you grows. You sleep next to me, yet it is I that must be dreaming. For how could I be so lucky as to call you mine?
My wife. I don’t think I will tire of writing those words. My wife, my wife, my wife.
Forgive me, dearest, I am delirious with joy and likely making little sense. I will force myself to sleep and hope that your visage follows me into my dreams.
Your husband,
Castien
———
My dearest husband,
You have disappeared from our chambers, leaving only your letter behind. I should be cross with you, but I find I am too happy for frustrations.
I spent years plagued by night terrors. There were times when I was afraid to fall asleep and would stay up until I couldn’t any longer. Sleeping next to you, I felt a peace beyond comprehension. I love you.
Oh, you have just entered the room with a tea tray. I know by the mischievous smile you’re wearing that you will snatch this letter away from me soon, so I will stop here, though I could spill pages upon pages of ink touting my love for you.
Your wife,
Wren
