Dearest Reader,

I have longed to meet you for some time now.

As an avid writer since childhood, I’ve spent my life thinking of those who would read my words. Even more than that, I’ve dreamt of encountering those who feel deeply and relate to the characters I’ve spun from my imagination.

If that’s you, welcome, you’re already well loved. Grab your favorite beverage and tell me about yourself. I want to know it all!

While you’re getting settled in, let me tell you a bit more about me…

Why romantasy?

My fascination with romantasy began at a young age.

It all started with Twilight. I know, I know, it’s terrible! And also not technically a romantasy. However, it was a catalyst for both an obsession with reading and the unusual.

I read about every paranormal, fantastical, and dystopian world I could get my hands on. I also read plenty of romance, of course. I’ve always been a romantic. The idea of an all-in obsessive kind of love has been on my mind for as long as I can remember.

When I first began my career as a novelist, I started with romantic comedies. You can check out my alter ego here. And I still love writing in that genre! But there was a part of me that longed for something different.

Then, one day, a story came to me. A girl who felt too much. A boy who didn’t want to feel at all. Their story ebbed and flowed just like the Tides they’re surrounded by. But eventually, I found what they were trying to say.

And once I found it, I dove in head first.

more to know

I’m married to the love of my life. He’s my best friend, my obsession, and my muse. I can’t imagine living without him. He cherishes me, spoils me, and even writes me letters.

We live in a small town in Alabama, but like to sneak away to the beach whenever we can. We have two crazy dogs, Prince and (cinder)Ella who make life full of laughter and covered in hair.

My ideal day consists of autumn leaves on the ground, crisp weather, coffee, a good book, and a buttery croissant.

I’m actually a huge nerd. So if you added hunting for Pokemon cards and playing Dungeons and Dragons or Daggerheart to the above day, I’d be over the moon.

What about you? Do we have anything in common?
